Full course description

Course Description

This self-paced course was originally launched in July 2021. It remains open and available to new registrants as an asynchronous course until further notice.

Intergenerational programs purposefully bring younger and older people together with the goal of benefitting everyone involved. They have been used to support youth and older adult development and health, building on the talents of participants of all ages and abilities. Successful intergenerational programs depend on thoughtful planning, practice, and assessment grounded in evidence. This 2.5-hour, self-paced course explores the value of evidence-based intergenerational programs. Recognizing that learners possess different experiences and goals, the course offers additional networking, programming, evaluation, and learning opportunities in the intergenerational community.
