Course Description

The American experiment speaks to the aspiration that a government formed on ideals of freedom and equality can persist despite internal and external challenges. But it also illuminates consistent failures to extend those ideals to everyone. In this time of deep division and serious threats to democratic institutions, have we seen the limits of the American experiment? Is it still possible to realize dreams of liberty and justice or have we reached the edges of what is possible in this system? Join us for a provocative lunch plenary to explore the boundaries of the American experiment and chart a path forward together.
