Course Description

If you can’t measure it how do you know it made a difference? This is often the struggle faced by prevention as a field as often our work is abstract and unseen.

This course will explain the different types of data, how to use focus groups as a data tool, and briefly explain the stages of community readiness. When planning and evaluating prevention programs readiness and need must be assessed. We will detail key components to starting a needs assessment and discuss how to use data to drive implementation. Finally, data is a necessary measure to show program success and change and we will discuss ways to measure realistic outcomes and long term outputs.

This course is the fifth in our eleven-part prevention training series. We are happy to offer a 10% discount to those who register for the full series here: Prevention Training Series 2022
