Course Description
This 6-hour course is designed for professionals new to working in the collegiate recovery field. During this course, participants will explore the history and evolution of the collegiate recovery field, student development theories and their applicability to collegiate recovery, strategies for destigmatizing recovery, and key components to developing a collegiate recovery program on campus. A discounted rate is available for HECAOD members (find code in member portal), ARHE members (get code from ARHE), and free registration for Ohio campuses (contact Anthony Gonzalez) to the Scarlet course.

Learning Objectives
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of collegiate recovery professionals
- Define collegiate recovery and describe its value to students and institutions
- Summarize five student development theories and their applicability to collegiate recovery
- Give examples of recovery capital and how to assess it on your campus and within your community
- Describe strategies for developing a collegiate recovery community, including recruiting and retaining students
First Time Using ScarletCanvas?
