This course is eligible for RN/CHW CEs only.
Welcome to the Health Promotion and Wellness module. In this module, we will review cognitive behavior skills to help relieve anxiety and depression. We will examine strategies to maintain wellness and build resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will summarize the benefits of exercise/physical activity. You will learn best practices to staying active and achieving health goals despite staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will evaluate the importance of keeping your mind present even during times of extreme stress or anxiety. And Lastly, we will discuss the topic of guided-mindfulness exercise, to help you refocus and reenergize your mind and body. Throughout the module there are activities and assignments that evaluate your comprehension of the topics.
This course qualifies for 2.73 nursing contact hours.
There is no conflict of interest for anyone with the ability to control content of this activity.
Participants must participate in each learning activity (listen, watch, do), pass the post test and submit course evaluation to qualify for nursing contact hours.
The Ohio State University College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Although this course is eligible for RN/CHW CEs only, social workers are welcome to enroll and complete this course for free CEs.
