Full course description

Course Description

This free, 3.25-hour training features one module with an edited recording of a live 988 & CareLine Development Training Series session that was first held as a Zoom Webinar on June 22nd, 2023.

Being a parent/caregiver in 2023 can be stressful! Parents and caregivers of children who call the phone lines are likely facing issues related to their own coping with stress and anxiety, while simultaneously trying to support appropriate resource acquisition to meet the needs of their children. This course covers a plethora of topics to help meet parental needs on the phone lines, including thoughts on how to talk with parents about their own mental health needs and personal development needs; financial concerns; concerns about day care, child care, and their children in school; concerns about access to needed health care resources including behavioral health supports; concerns about helping their children navigate through challenging times including loss, trauma, and other present day upsets; and improving their relationship with their children. For a refresh of your professional tool box to increase supports for parents/caregivers, you won’t want to miss this course!

  • Identify at least three positive coping strategies to support parents/caregivers on the phone lines.
