Course Description
This free, 2.25-hour training features one module with an edited recording of a live 988 & CareLine Development Training Series session that was first held as a Zoom Webinar on May 13th, 2022.
This training will provide attendees with best-practice guidelines and helpful strategies for responding effectively to CareLine callers who present with Substance Use Disorder and other various behavioral healthcare needs. The training also focuses specifically on how CareLine operators can effectively support family members and friends who are seeking help for a loved one.
Learning Objectives
- Identify best practices for effective engagement with CareLine callers.
- Describe the responsibilities of call line workers and others who interact with behavioral health clients via telephone.
- Recognize how to meet the needs of concerned others who contact a call line or provider on behalf of a loved one.

- Once your evaluation/feedback survey is submitted, ScarletCanvas-Catalog will generate your CE certificate/certificate of attendance for download and/or print
- CE hours will be reported to CE Broker within 14 business days for active and eligible OCSWMFTB and OCDPB licensees who provide their full license number(s) with their course evaluation/feedback survey.
